Proton Car is Not Good

“In the long run, Mercedes cars are cheaper to maintain and could also save us fuel costs.

This is what mentioned when Terengganu state government has defended the purchase of 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressor cars at RM3.43mil for the use of its state executive councillors and senior officials.

Another emberassing story for Proton. Wonder why the government does not question “Why are we still defending Proton with the Excise tax?”

  1. Personally, I think Proton cars are crappy and in the long run they cost a lot to maintain and upkeep.

Replacing it is not necessarily a bad idea though in our impending economic situation, bicycles would have been a better option.

But seriously, if they were really into cost cutting, why didn’t they buy Toyotas or Hondas? The Japanese cars are so much more high quality in terms of fuel efficiency, maintenance and pricing.

  2. this is just another crapy reason for the govt to buy expensive cars…..typical of will not see this at the news anymore……it is a one time news.

the second point of this point is ….proton sells bad cars…..they should just scrap away their manufacturing plant to reduce the burden of their fellow malaysian and also remove the excise tax
