For all those business people out there who thinks that Singaporean are spending much more. You should start thinking about how much subsidies our Government is giving them. Only yesterday, a German customer told me that he is paying Euro 1.40/liter. If you convert is about 7 ringgit, therefore assuming the subsidies is RM5.08. If you fill RM50 which is around 26 liters. We are subsidising RM132, saying their entertainment cost is RM300 bucks (to the max base on thestar), I doubt that our retailer margin is 44%?
My calculation may be wrong, but I think it is only wise to think if it this way.
But government shouldnot ban Foreign cars from pumping petrol..make them pay a higher price.
